A deposition is procedure in which the opposing lawyer questions you about your case. The attorneys and the Court do this process before a Court Reporter who records all of your answers word-for-word and types them up in a booklet form for later use.
You are required by the Rules of Court to give a deposition. This is not a matter of choice.
Your lawyer at Schmidt & Salita Law Team is present throughout the process.
Your attorney cannot help you with your answers, but can make objections. You can ask for the assistance of your attorney, but will probably not be able to speak privately with your attorney, unless the opposing attorney consents.
